Affordable Homeownership

Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity builds home in partnership with selected families
to provide first-time homeownership opportunities for families at or below 60%
of the area median income.  Families must have a need for housing, be willing to
put in 300-500 hours of sweat equity in building their own home and the homes of
others, and be able to pay a zero percent interest rate mortgage.  Habitat provides a
13-week financial literacy course, Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University.
Prospective homeowners also attend Neighbor to Neighbor homeownership education courses.

Habitat ReStore

Benefits we derive from participation in Interfaith Council:

Ability to educate other faith groups about our ministry, and, ideally for
church
and faith-communities to help us identify families that may be
excellent Habitat homeowner candidates.
