Vision:
Through God’s grace, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church strives to be an
inviting, welcoming, Christ-centered inclusive community of God.
Mission:
In ministry to the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church community and the
world, we will joyfully proclaim God’s word, promote spiritual growth, and
pursue lives of caring and service.
Primary community
outreach / mission / service / involvement activities:
Through
the annual budget, we support various local and worldwide service organizations
such as:
Lutheran World Relief, Catholic Charities of Northern Colorado, Fort Collins
Area Interfaith Council, Homelessness Prevention Initiative, Larimer County
Food Bank, Education and Life Training Center, Good Samaritan, Lutheran Family
Services, Mosaic, ELCA World Hunger, Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp, SAINT, and
Lutheran Campus Ministry.
Also annually, we hold an Alternative Giving Fair and Market where 100% of the
proceeds benefit such organizations as:
Women's Bean Project, Hope Bead Trading – Uganda, Amani ya Juu, Equal Exchange
Coffee & Chocolate, Ten Thousand Villages, Heifer International, CSU
Women's Creative Cards, CSU Lutheran Campus Ministry, Larimer County Food Bank,
Lutheran Family Services, Homelessness Prevention Initiative, ELCA World
Hunger, Sharing the Dream – Guatemala, Grant Family Farms, Think Humanity,
& Afghan Women’s Self Sufficiency Project.
We also collect items for various organizations such as Homeless Gear, Larimer
Country Food Bank, Angel Tree for Lutheran Family Services, & Center for
Hope.
